Creative Liturgy Workshop

The prayers we recite by rote each week were not handed down fully formed from heaven—they were written by real people, reaching for words to express their hopes and fears, their loves and losses. Over time, those personal prayers became the shared liturgy of the Jewish people. But sometimes, the ancient words of others don’t quite resonate, which is why the process of prayer writing must be ongoing. Join Rabbi James Feder once a month to explore new liturgy being written for our current moment and take a hand at writing some yourself.
