Grab our Elul Beach Read – The Correspondent
For the fifth year in a row, we are excited to recommend our newest “Elul Beach Read,” The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. The book is a 2025 epistolary novel about a 73-year-old retired lawyer, Sybil Van Antwerp, who communicates through letters and emails, and exploring themes of grief, regret, and forgiveness as she confronts a painful past. It’s the perfect opening to explore our own inner work we will do in anticipation of the High Holy Days.
