Pre-Sukkot Service of Solidarity

Sukkot begins Friday evening, September 25. We will gather the night before, on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30pm, at Delaney Hall, where the festival’s themes of fragility and trust, hospitality and inclusion, feel especially close. The service will be led by Rabbi James Feder and Cantor Meredith Greenberg.

This service is open to all: Ner Tamid congregants, friends from other congregations, and anyone who wants to stand with us, regardless of affiliation or religious background. If you have never been to Delaney Hall, you are especially welcome.

What to bring: Yourself. If you feel so moved, we are collecting $25 gift cards from ShopRite and Stop & Shop to support families connected to those detained at the facility.

Logistics: You may park on the street or in the Essex County Correctional Facility lot. Bring a folding chair if you would like to sit. Delaney Hall is located at 451 Doremus Avenue in Newark, NJ.
