Jim Holzer joined the Ner Tamid community in December 2024. A native of Los Angeles, California, he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from California State University, Northridge and National University, respectively.

Throughout his career, Jim excelled in the for-profit sector, working with renowned companies like KPMG, AIG, Chubb, and Robert Half. He also owned and operated a direct marketing agency for over two decades. In 2021, Jim transitioned to the non-profit world, relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, where he served as Executive Director of West End Synagogue. Passionate about Jewish community engagement, Jim is thrilled to be deeply involved in the Jewish world, bringing his professional expertise and personal commitment to strengthen Jewish organizations and support meaningful communal work to Ner Tamid and contribute to its continued growth.

He and his wife Sherri, his college sweetheart, are proud parents to Lauren and Branden, both of whom live in New York City. Sherri is a successful entrepreneur, published author, chef, and Mediterranean lifestyle expert. When not working, Jim can typically be found on the baseball diamond or at live music venues.
